Tree house from improvised materials. Children's treehouse - play, practice, mystery

Tree house from improvised materials. Children's treehouse - play, practice, mystery

Who hasn't dreamed as a child of a secluded corner for games and covert operations away from adults? Films and stories in which the children's company gathered in an abandoned attic or in a treehouse awakened the imagination and aroused envy.

You can make an old dream come true by building a treehouse for your children. On the personal plot a private house or in the country will always find a fairly strong tree suitable for building a house.

There are a lot of ideas for the design and arrangement of a children's house, but before proceeding with their implementation, it is necessary to choose a tree, design a house, select materials and tools for fastening, perform installation and check the reliability of the entire structure.

Choosing a tree for the base of the house

The choice of a tree for the location of a children's house on it must be taken with all seriousness. The success of the entire project will depend on this. If the tree does not withstand the load, not only the builder's reputation may suffer, but also the children playing in the house.

For the construction of a children's house, trees with hard wood and a good root system, such as oak, maple, ash, apple, are suitable.

Attention! Coniferous trees are not suitable for building a house because of their instability, and most fruit trees have brittle branches.

Main selection criteria wood for a children's house:

    • The tree must be healthy, without damage to the bark and dry branches;

Advice! Branches with damage or sudden changes in diameter must be removed, and the saw cuts must be puttied and painted over.

  • Age the tree should be medium for the selected species, since young trees may not withstand the load, and too old ones are prone to disease;
  • Roots trees should not go to the surface of the earth; well-branched and deepened roots - a reliable foundation for a treehouse;
  • For a small house measuring 2x2 m, the tree trunk should be at least 30 cm in diameter, and the branches on which the base of the house will be attached should be 20 to 25 cm in diameter.

Important! To build a house, it is better to choose a tree growing in dense clay soil. Sandy soils reduce the resistance of trees.

tree house design

Based on the size and configuration of the tree crown, they carry out a sketch of the project, the intended structure. First of all, you need to decide on the supports. Since the tree can sway from gusts of wind, the supports must be reliable.

Types of supports and methods of their fastening:

  • Pillar supports are dug in next to the tree. This is the most gentle type of support for wood;
  • Bolted supports are attached directly to the tree. In order not to cause irreparable harm to the tree, special types of fasteners are used.

At the design stage, they are determined with the dimensions, the main structure, the platform of the house, the ladder and the method of fastening.

Design requirements

  • The height of the house should not exceed 2.5 m;
  • Materials must be calculated for strength;
  • For reliable fastening, only bolted connections are used;
  • The platform of the house must be protected by walls or railings;
  • The ladder must be securely attached to the platform of the house.

Traditionally, the house is built in y-shaped fork branches, fixing the floor platform oblique supports to the trunk of a tree.

Tools and lumber

To complete the work, you will need tools:

  • For woodworking: saw, jigsaw, chisel, hammer, planer;
  • To perform fasteners: drill, screwdriver, screwdriver, wrench;
  • For measurements: tape measure, square, level.

Construction and fixing materials:

  • 2 boards 5*25cm on 4 m for bearing beams;
  • 6 boards 5*15 cm on 3m for the frame of the floor platform;
  • 2 boards 5*10 cm on 4 m for inclined supports of the supporting structure;
  • boards, sheets of plywood or chipboard for floors, walls and roofs;
  • roofing felt or other roofing material;
  • fastening material: bolts, nuts, self-tapping screws, galvanized fasteners for beams, etc.

The base of the house will have to be done at a height, for this you will need stairs. To connect power tools necessary let down source of electricity to the work site.

Advice! To facilitate the work, the enclosing structures and the roof can be assembled on the ground.

Stages of work on the installation of a children's house

    1. On the branches of a U-shaped fork note attachment points of load-bearing beams at the same distance from the ground;

    1. Measure distance between marks on opposite branches and set aside half of this distance on both sides of the center of each of 2nd load-bearing boards ( 5*25cm);

    1. Marks received on the boards drilled under the bolts. Similar holes are drilled on tree branches;

    1. In load-bearing beams for organization sliding fastening the beams to the tree, using a drill and a jigsaw, make a groove of 10 cm with a center in the marked place. When the branches sway, the platform will also move, which will not allow them to destroy the base structure;

    1. Produce fastening 2nd beams ( 5*25cm) on both sides of branches, into drilled holes with bolts of length 15–20 cm;

    1. Perpendicular to the beams establish 4 boards ( 5*15 cm). The boards are placed on the end and fastened to the beams with galvanized fasteners using self-tapping screws and a screwdriver;

    1. The edges of the installed boards are fixed with two framework boards ( 5*15 cm). Fastening is carried out using galvanized corners and self-tapping screws;

    1. Cross bars additionally o fasten to the supporting beams with rafter bolts;

  1. For sustainability frame structure platform prop up inclined beams 5*10 cm. At the points of attachment to the platform frame, the boards are cut at an angle in 450 degrees. The lower ends of the supports rest against the trunk or fork of the tree, where they are securely fixed with bolts;
  2. The result is a stable frame for the installation of a children's house.

Rest designs are assembled on the ground and then attached to the base of the house. Depending on the installation height of the house, the stairs are made with steps and railings or with rungs.

For a treehouse, as a rule, they are made - it is convenient to attach it to the base of the house, but the design of the stairs can be different, not only, but also half-turn. You can also access the tree house using a rope ladder.

Having made and installed a ladder for a children's house, do not forget a special impregnation that protects against moisture and decay. If desired, a wooden staircase can be painted (read how and with what in this one).

Advice! The floor, enclosing structures and roofing are best made from lightweight material - chipboard, plywood or plastic sheets.

Outdoor and indoor design of children's tree house

Once construction is completed, decorate children's house for every taste. Suitable for this handy e materials, bright colors, household utensils, skillful hands and imagination. You can do this with your children.

Probably, there is not a single child in the world who would not want to have their own house, located on the branches of trees. This is not just a place for games - it is a small world with its own laws, rules, traditions. If on suburban area there are several tall strong trees, you can come up with a simple project and bring it to life, to the delight of children, and adults too. It remains to figure out how to build a tree house with your own hands.

There are a lot of options for building tree houses. They are built both for exciting children's games, and for solitude with a book under a spreading crown in the summer heat.

There are absolutely no restrictions in style and purpose. It can be an inaccessible tower of a beauty, a disguised outpost, an ogre's castle or a spaceship.

In architectural terms, everything is much more modest. There are three popular, proven types of structures, these are:

  • Platform construction. Powerful branches or the trunk itself act as a bearing element, on which the details of the lower floor are fixed with self-tapping anchors. If necessary, the platform is reinforced with oblique beams resting against a tree.
  • Frame house on stilts. In fact, this is an independent building, the floor and roof of which are only crossed by one or more trunks. The building itself is not supported by a tree, therefore, it does not interfere with life and growth. Such a house is installed on piles, the size of which is determined depending on the upcoming load.
  • Hanging platform. Suspended from branches capable of withstanding using ropes, cables or chains. The easiest, but not very reliable and safe method of organization, especially when it comes to a play area for children.

First and third architectural type directly depend on the bearing capacity of the trunk, the size of its branches and the root system. After all, the tree will have to perform the function of a foundation: to steadfastly hold the load not only of the structure itself, but also of visitors. It is believed that a trunk with a thickness of at least 30 cm in diameter, preferably more, will be able to cope with this difficult work.

Three main design options for treehouses are used as the basis for developing your own building project.

For the construction of the second constructive variety, using only the crown for masking or decoration, the bearing capacity of the tree is absolutely unimportant. A completely young representative of the world of fauna will do, who will eventually hide the intelligence headquarters or the alien ship in its lush greenery. Almost all deciduous, coniferous and even garden species are suitable.

Preparing for the upcoming work

We recognize that not all domestic estates have a tree suitable for building a house. However, suppose that it was your parents who bypassed the love of gardening. That the selfless and undivided passion for cultivating every centimeter in our latitudes did not force them to uproot such an incomparable object.

Before you start designing and choosing the best way to make a house on a tree growing within the site, you should evaluate the real situation. You need to find out if there are any local ordinances prohibiting the construction of such structures. In some situations, for such buildings it is necessary to obtain permits.

If the tree is located next to a neighbor's plot, you should definitely talk to its owners. It is possible that the design will obscure their favorite flower garden, spoil the view from the window, or the frolicking children will cause unnecessary concern to the elderly. In any case, you should discuss the upcoming construction site with your neighbors in order to maintain friendly relations.

When designing a treehouse, it should be taken into account that it is unsafe to place it at a height of more than 2.5 m (1). If the trunk or branches are able to become a reliable support (2), they can be used as the basis for the construction of the first type of house. The tree must have a sufficiently powerful root system (3)

Let's assume that we have no obstacles for arranging a tree house. So, we can safely do independent design, for which we need:

  • Select the safest bottom floor height. It is believed that for children's games a treehouse should not be located above 1.5 m. If a gazebo is planned, then the height limit can be moved by 2 - 2.5 m. her.
  • Calculate the optimal area of \u200b\u200bthe lower floor or platform, given that the projection from the building located on the tree should be completely on your site.
  • Decide on the design of the house. Decide whether it will be a platform with perimeter fences and a canopy, a hut-type structure or a small frame house.
  • Anticipate the possibility of an accidental fall. It is desirable that the ground around the structure is not compacted. Concrete sites are completely excluded, the proximity of paved paths is not recommended.
  • Think over the most convenient and safe type of stairs for moving visitors to the house up / down.

If desired, and if there are constructive prerequisites, it would be good to consider options for operating the zone under the structure. It does not hurt to arrange a shed there for storing utensils and items that will need to be removed from the rain.

When designing a structure, it is necessary to consider safety criteria, provide for the best way to move and the possibility of using the space under the house

How to build a tree house

As a hint to home craftsmen, we will analyze the two most popular methods for building a treehouse. They can be copied in whole or in part, or you can develop your own method of construction based on the examples given.

Frame structure on supports

This is the most humane type of structure, which, in principle, can be built simply next to a tree or without it at all. It is a small frame structure mounted on piles. The roof is formed by hanging trusses, fastened at the top with metal plates. Movement is provided by a fixed ladder installed at an angle of 45º.

The presented version of the house does not rely on the trunk and branches. In order for them to cross the floor and roof, you just need to make holes in the ceilings (+)

A bar 105 × 105 mm was used to make the frame. For the installation of a pile foundation, it would not be superfluous to slightly increase the size of the material; it is permissible to slightly reduce it for wall racks. For wall cladding, it is better to purchase lining, but plywood is also suitable, it is recommended to buy a grooved board 150 × 50 mm for the floor, and a 100 × 25 mm edged board for the rafters.

If there are no carpentry skills, then it is better to buy metal corners and plates to connect the frame parts. Do the same with the boxes in the door and window opening, although you can make them yourself if you wish.

In the construction of a house, it is easier to use the tested option and the calculated dimensions. You can develop your own project based on the example (+)

The roof in the example is made of flexible tiles, under which a continuous crate of plywood or a board laid with a gap of 3 mm is arranged. You will also need cement or ready-made cement mortar from a plant specializing in its manufacture, anchors and thrust bearings for attaching piles.

Frame parts are easier to connect with metal corners. As an alternative, a half-tree cut is used. When choosing the second option, it should be taken into account in the calculations of the length of the elements (+)

In the example, an asymmetric hanging type truss system. The rafter legs at the top rest against each other, are connected using a toothed metal plate. The lower connection node with the frame strapping is formed by a notch, additionally fixed with nails (+)

Stages of building a base for a house:

  • We mark the site according to the size of the house. We mark the corners of the structure with pegs, connect them with twine. We measure the diagonals of the marked outline, they should be equal.
  • In the places where the piles are installed, we form pits with a depth of about 50 - 60 cm. The length of the sides of the pits is 30 - 40 cm. Recesses for pouring the solution can be made using a garden drill.
  • We tamp the bottom of the pits, after moistening the low-moisture sand to increase the density. If the bottom is composed of loam, or wet sand, it is not necessary to moisten.
  • Create a pillow pile foundation. At the bottom of each pit we pour 10 cm of crushed stone and 10 cm of sand. We ram again.
  • We pour cement mortar into one of the pits to approximately half of the space remaining after filling the pillow.
  • We install pieces of metal masonry mesh with a cell up to 25 × 25 × 2 mm over the fill. We fasten it with pins or wire directly into the soil wall of the pit. The main thing is that the grid does not move to the bottom, but remains approximately in the middle of the support being arranged.
  • We fill the rest of the space in the pit with a solution.
  • Similarly, we arrange concrete foundations for all piles.

During the pouring of the second part of the solution, we install a dowel for the thrust bearing under the pile. If you do not put it right away, then you will have to drill a hole in the concrete stone. We take into account that no more than 45 minutes should elapse between filling the first and second half of the pit, otherwise the support will not be monolithic.

Immediately after pouring with a building level, we check that the surface of the filled supports is at the same height. Otherwise, it will be necessary to align the thrust bearings, and put wood chips or cutting boards under them.

It takes time for the supports to harden. According to the rules for pouring foundations for residential buildings, the following work should be started after 28 days. For this period, they should be covered with polyethylene, which must be periodically removed to ventilate the supports.

The principle of the construction of fences, window frames and shutters is shown in the diagrams with dimensions (+)

A 4-point fixed ladder for a children's house is the safest option. However, for a device of this design, it is necessary to pour concrete supports to support the lower points (+)

From below, around the hole, we nail the trimmings of the board to strengthen the floor and prevent the material from tearing off. At the end, we install the appropriate canvases in the window and door frames, construct and fix the stairs.

Holes are formed in the lower ceiling of the house and the roof for the tree trunk so that there is a gap between the tree and the structure (+)

The device platform on the branches

If the trunk has a V-shaped fork, it may well become the supporting base for the lower floor of the house. True, the tree will have to be drilled, which is not very pleasant for him. In addition, the fixing points must be made in such a way that when the size of the tree changes and when it sways from the wind, it cannot damage the structure.

Before you start building such a tree house design, you need to try on. It is needed to select the optimal position of the floor beams. This is best done with cutting boards, the length of which will be approximately 50 cm longer than the distance between the branches. To perform fitting and marking for the described option, you will need a reliable ladder and a similar assistant.

Having placed the board strictly horizontally, it is necessary to mark the attachment points on the branches and on the board. To find them, a board must be pivotally attached to one of the branches with a nail. By turning the board, slightly shifting its second edge up / down, you should find a horizontal position. Horizontal control should be carried out with a building level, setting it on the edge of the board being tried on.

The fitting stage is extremely important, because. in the future, to correct distortions, it will be necessary to drill a new hole in the wood, which will weaken both the trunk and the attachment point.

As in the previous case, it is necessary to think over the safety aspects in advance and choose the best type of stairs for movement.

The cutting of the board will become a template for drawing the distance between the branches on a 100 × 150 mm beam, which is to be attached to the tree. The holes are naturally marked in the center of the workpiece on the wide side. This is how the floor guide beam is formed. The distance on the opposite side should be determined in the same way and in exactly the same way it will be necessary to make the second beam.

Holes for attaching beams to a tree should be longitudinal and clearly aligned to the horizon. To do this, from the point marked on the material, lay 5 cm to the right and left sides. Then, with a 12 mm drill, the initial holes are selected along the edges, and the excess between them is removed with a jigsaw. The longitudinal hole will allow the branches to move without destroying the structure installed on them.

The holes for fastening the beams to the trunk should be made in the form of an elongated slot so that the tree does not damage the structure when swinging from the wind.

  • We fasten the guide beams to the branches through the holes formed, installing wood screws Ø 12 mm approximately in their middle. Fastener length 200 mm. A washer must be installed between the beam and the screw.
  • We check the horizontalness of the fixed beams.
  • We mount on top of them in the transverse direction the beams of the lower floor from a beam of 50 × 100 mm. We first install the two extreme ones, then the intermediate ones. The distance between the intermediate beams must be equal. We fix to the guide screws 80 mm.
  • From the end of the installed transverse beams we fasten a beam of the same size.
  • Nodal connections are reinforced with metal corners and plates.
  • We strengthen the position of the platform with two oblique beams 50 × 100 mm, the upper edge of which rests against the formed platform, the lower one is nailed to the tree. Fastening to the site is carried out with corners, to the tree with 100 mm screws.
  • We lay the floor with a board 50 × 150 mm. We rally the grooved board and nail it after 4 - 5 pieces to the floor beams. It is permissible to lay a non-grooved board with gaps of 2 - 3 mm, each element must be fastened with two screws or nails.
  • Along the perimeter of the platform, we construct a fence from a vertically installed board or bar with a distance between the elements of about 10 cm. In the corners of the platform, the bars of adjacent sides are installed close to each other. The length of the railing elements is at least 90 cm, so that the total height with railings is about 80 cm.
  • We lay a bar on top of the fence, which will form the railing. The bar is attached with corners to these peculiar balusters.

The site is ready. In order to get there, you will need a ladder, the type of which is selected for safety reasons. If children will be the host in the house, it is better to build a durable version on stringers or bowstrings with at least one-sided railings. If a ladder is to be used, its beams should be sharpened from below and deepened into the ground to fix the position.

Drilling holes for fasteners

We all once played children's games and built various huts on the ground, and someone built tree houses. Such games brought a lot of joy and unforgettable emotions.

What is a tree house?

What is a tree house? It is a constructed building at the root of a tree that is above ground and can be supported by one or more tree trunks. Such a design can be not only a place for children to relax, play, but also their place of residence. Tree houses are good because their construction does not pollute the environment, and the forest remains safe and sound, trees are not cut down, but quite the contrary, they ensure the preservation of nature.

For settlements in areas of tropical forests, such facilities are built not only on trees, but also on piles to protect them from living creatures that live on the ground.

Such tree houses have been built since ancient times, and in some tribes and among different peoples this is the only solution for organizing their housing. If earlier these were ordinary structures, today, with the development of technology, there are many opportunities to make such a house cozy and suitable for playing and living.

To date, the idea of building tree houses has reached a high level, not only for fun, but also for recreation: the construction of restaurants for a pleasant pastime is actively developing, and some entrepreneurs even build entire apartments on trees. So, for example, in Sweden, in the Vasteras municipal park, there is a tree house, which has two balconies, a kitchen block, a bed, a toilet, a hammock on the veranda, and a miniature library. To get into this house, you need to climb the ladder and enjoy the mysterious atmosphere in it.

Interest in tree houses has grown so much that entrepreneurs are actively using this idea for their profit: they build restaurants, hotels that have not just an ordinary look. wooden house, but also a very original design, here you can relax and have a good time.

So, for example, Tom Chudley manually built a tree house, which he called the "Free Spirit Sphere". This facility is located in Canada and can be purchased for $ 150,000 (this is the minimum price), but ordinary tourists can also rent it for the weekend. This structure is suspended from a tree and looks like a round sphere, which is equipped with electricity, sound system, telephone, beds, microwave oven, fridge and bathroom.

And the largest tree house in the world is designed from Alnwick Gardens, which are located in Scotland, and costs 3.3 million pounds. This is a whole city where restaurants, shops and canteens are concentrated.

Original ideas for a tree house. What you need to know

There are such types of houses:

Asian - most often they are two-story, and the roof is made of straw.

Game - it will be very cool if it is equipped with a slide, along which you can go down directly to the pool or sandbox.

Eco-friendly - such an object has a creative shape in the form of an elongated bulb on a tree trunk.

Futuristic - created from aluminum plates. In it you can relax on a summer day and have breakfast in the fresh air.

It is important to understand that you can not build a house on every tree. The root system should be well developed and strong, and the wood should be dense. It is better to stop the choice on ash, maple, oak, fir. In no case do not build a building on poplar, willow, chestnut and linden. In addition to the fact that plants bloom profusely, which can provoke allergies, they have weak roots. The tree should not be dilapidated and old. It should have strong horizontal branches that will help secure the house.

Tree house for children and adults

Having shown imagination, everyone can buy a ready-made house or build it on their own, equipping it with the necessary equipment. You can make a house in the form of a deck of a ship or in the form of a small castle, and choose furniture that will be comfortable and remarkable for future residents or visitors.

Tree houses can also serve as a zone for creative inspiration, a workshop for artists, a place to relax with friends. If you are used to solitude, if your work causes inconvenience to residents and your household, if you just like to listen to loud music, then a treehouse is an excellent solution to this problem. For relaxation, you can also build a small terrace by placing a table and chairs there, you can make the ceiling transparent and protect it from rain with glass in order to admire the stars in the evening and spend a romantic holiday with your loved one.

If you have a plot of land, then you can make a unique tree house and live freely in it, equipped with everything you need. It's also a brilliant idea, because you don't have to level the surface to build a house on the ground, you also don't have to destroy trees and vegetation to erect a foundation house.

This idea is getting more and more popular and if you are thinking of building your treehouse, don't hesitate, because soon there may be no free trees left to erect them!

A house on a tree. A photo

Probably every child in the world, yes, in principle, and you and I, when we were little, wanted to have our own "secret place" to gather there with friends, play, discuss our affairs and so on. To do this, we often paid attention to the trees, especially in the summer, when the crown of the tree is all covered with foliage and no branches are visible.

It was then that thoughts arose, and later their embodiment, to make your own tree house. After all, for us it was not just a place for games, but, so to speak, our own little world, with its own rules and traditions.

Therefore, I want to provide instructions for building a tree house for children's games. First you need to decide on the choice of tree. It should not be old and withered, it should have a good root system branched out enough to support the weight of the house and the weight of children, as well as natural conditions - windy weather and snow. The branches should be thick enough.

During construction, thin and diseased branches are recommended to be removed immediately so that they do not subsequently fall and break. Trees such as poplar, willow or birch are not very suitable for building such a structure on them, because they have very fragile branches that cannot withstand the weight. Since such a house is being built for children, it is not recommended to raise it above 1.5-2 m above the ground. In addition, the crown of the tree will sway in the wind and such a house will not have sufficient strength. It is desirable that the base of the house had several large branches under it, for greater strength.
In this article I will describe one of the options for building such a house.

The next step, based on how the tree grows, how its branches are located, creates a drawing of the house and the main points of attaching the structure to the tree.

For work, such tools and materials were needed, which are indicated in the photographs below.

This is followed by the manufacture of the base of the house, which with the help of long screws will be attached to the tree. To do this, he uses thick boards in which he makes slots for ease of adjustment when mounting on a tree.

These boards are attached to both sides of the tree and leveled with a level.

A start. Now you should install the cross beams and diagonal supports. The crossbars are installed at an equal distance from each other. They are attached to the base with the help of special devices.

For the convenience of delivering the tool to the tree, you can make a winch from a roller and a rope. After the construction of the house, it can be left for children's games.

When the base is completely ready, you can proceed to the flooring. Here you need to remember that when making the floor, you do not need to bring it too close to the branches of the tree. It is necessary to take into account the factor of further growth of the tree and leave small gaps in order to avoid further destruction of the structure.

Since the structure is intended for children, all necessary measures must be taken to ensure that the child does not fall or be injured when playing at a height. Therefore, we build walls from boards, leaving small gaps between them. We also install railings.

The roof of this house was made of camouflage tarpaulin, which was fixed on the ends of the beams.

Next, the ladder is assembled and installed.

In principle, several exits and stairs can be made, because. children are restless and mobile creatures, and when playing they can crowd in one opening or go down the same stairs, which, if they move carelessly, can lead to a fall.

In the end, the author came up with such a wonderful tree house for children's fun. The design is not fundamental, so each of those who follow the example and want to build such a house for their children can choose any design. The main thing is to follow the rules described above.

A house built on a tree is able to please any child, filling his life with new, hitherto unseen sensations and emotions. This is a real dream, which almost every parent is able to make a reality. It is about how to independently design a tree house that we will talk in the framework of this material.

Choosing a tree

Before moving on to building a house with your own hands, you should decide on the choice of a suitable tree. This process is quite responsible, so you should approach it with all seriousness.

Particular attention should be paid to the thickness of the trunk and the development of the root system - it is important that the tree withstand the load placed on it. If possible, you should give preference to maple, ash or oak - these trees have a strong wood structure and are able to resist even significant stresses. Immediately it is worth getting rid of dry and old branches - they can harm not only the child, but also the structure being built. The optimal building height is 1.5 - 2 m. Higher can be dangerous for the baby and his games. And the crown under the gusts of wind can sway quite significantly, which also will not give the structure additional stability and reliability.

Tool preparation

To make a tree house, you will need the following set of tools:

  • Hacksaw;
  • Electric drill;
  • Plane;
  • wrench type;
  • Measuring devices;
  • Construction level;
  • A hammer;
  • Sandpaper.

We form the frame

Let's start building a tree house. To begin with, we attach the rail to the branches, about 30 cm below the level of the future floor. For the evenness of the installation, we use the building level. In the branches directly above the rail, we drill holes with a cross section of 10 mm. We install exactly the same rail on the second side, making sure that it is strictly horizontal and in the same plane with the first.

We also drill holes, after which we remove the rails. We measure the distance between the holes, after which we subtract the obtained value from 4 m and divide the result in half. The final value is set aside from the edge of the board 50x250 mm. In the middle of the distance obtained, we drill a hole of 16 mm. We drill the second, setting aside from the first the gap that exists between the holes in the tree. We drill the same holes in each of the prepared boards.

Using a hacksaw, we make grooves in the boards between the holes - later spacers will be mounted in them, fixing the support beams at the required distance in relation to each other and a certain distance from the branches. Support-type beams should not be fixed close to the branches - there should be some space left to allow them to grow, swaying, within reasonable natural limits, from gusts of incoming wind.

The beams are attached to the branches by means of an adjustable wrench and screws, after which spacers are installed in their place.

Arrangement of flooring

First you need to cut the boards to the required length. The gap between the laid boards should be about 1 cm, which will provide the required drainage. Two boards 50x150 mm should be cut along the length of the flooring, 4 more boards should be made a little shorter, about 100 mm.

Using 75 mm screws, 4 short boards should be fixed to one long board, 50x150 mm in size. They should be installed perpendicular to it, approximately at an equal distance, making sure that the formed frame can be put on the branches above the support beams. After laying, the frame should be leveled and fixed with ropes to the support beams.

By screwing the second long board to the frame, we get a square formation platform.

Using steel plates, we fix the platform on the support beams, put special fasteners in the corners.

We mount the supports, cutting off one of the sides at an angle of 45 degrees. Board - 50x100 mm. They should be placed overlapping, fixing them on the branches with 200 mm screws using a special key.

Having risen to the platform, we fix the flooring. It is important here to make gaps in the boards through which the branches will pass. The distance between them and the board should be about 20-50 mm.

Landing, stairs and roof

We continue to equip the tree house - we make a landing. In each of the corners we put a rack from a board 50x100 mm, 1 m high. We fasten the railing to it with screws - the bar is the same. We cut the corners at an angle of 45 degrees. We close the space under the railing with plywood, plank boards or other material.

As a ladder, you can use its rope version or something like a climbing wall - we set two beams at an angle and nail the boards close to them. You can use specialized hooks or simply cut out the steps with a router or a conventional saw.

To equip the roof, at a height of about 2 m, screw 2 hooks into the branches, stretch a cable between them and throw a tarpaulin over it. To increase the lower edge of the formed roof, additional supports can be placed on the railing.

As you can see, building such a house for children is not so difficult. The main thing is to clearly follow the instructions above and take your time, while observing the basic safety requirements - the final result is guaranteed to please your baby.
