Halotherapy at home with your own hands. How to make a salt room with your own hands

Check out the most complete information on opening a salt cave: equipment selection and design, documentation, ways to attract customers, and whether it is worth buying a franchise to open a halochamber. This type of business, despite its apparent simplicity, has many pitfalls. We will help you get around them.

A Brief History of Salt Caves and Rooms, or What to Tell Clients

Salt rooms, salt caves, halochambers - in fact, have a long history, the beginning of which was speleotherapy, which, as you know, has more than one hundred years. Speleological clinics have been known in Russia since the 19th century. In the USSR, the first speleological clinic was built in 1968 in Transcarpathia, in the village of Solotvyno. Salt mine No 8 became the base of the new construction. Speleotherapy was used to treat:

  • bronchial asthma;
  • sinusitis, rhenitis;
  • asthmatic and chronic bronchitis;
  • hay fever;
  • colds;
  • reduced immunity, stress, insomnia;
  • cystic fibrosis, etc.

In the 80s medicinal properties they tried to recreate the mines on the surface in halochambers. And today in Russia there are a large number of sylvinite, rock-salt speleochambers and halochambers, at the same time halotherapeutic surfaces are used in living and working premises (pedestals, lamps, salt floor lamps, etc.).

Halotherapy is in some way the successor of speleotherapy. The difference lies in the fact that the healing climate is artificially created in a separate room.

Do I need a medical license for salt rooms?

Halotherapy as a complex of therapeutic physiotherapy is a medical service that has its own contraindications and should be prescribed by a doctor. In this capacity, institutions providing such services must have an appropriate license, they are subject to increased requirements.

Some requirements for organizations engaged in medical activities (including halotherapy):

  • having a license. The state fee for granting a license is about 8,000 rubles;
  • the manager must have a higher medical education and work experience of at least 5 years;
  • employees must also have a specialized education, employment contracts must be concluded with employees;
  • The organization is licensed.

But there is another side. Salt rooms, which became popular a few years ago, as a rule, are not medical institutions, but only companies whose activities are related to sports and recreation activities. And then a medical license is not required. OKVED (type of activity), which in this case should be declared, is OKVED 93.04 - sports and recreation activities.

99.9% of salt rooms provide not medical, but health services. And, therefore, the registration of an individual entrepreneur or LLC is carried out according to the general rules. You don't need to get a license.

If medical activity is chosen, obtaining a medical license for a salt cave and related equipment is mandatory. The total cost of all costs can reach 300 thousand rubles for opening.

When choosing a room, you should be guided by the standards of SanPiN 2.1.3.2630-10 (download) and other regulatory legal acts.

  • These documents allow to place the halocomplex only in separate buildings (non-residential). Area - not less than 18 m2, the presence of a control room is required.
  • Lighting must comply with current regulations.
  • The staff of the institution must have employees with medical education and advanced training certificates.
  • The halogenerator must have a medical registration certificate.
  • Separate strict requirements are imposed on purity, with mandatory samples.

Such halochambers are usually available at children's clinics and medical centers.

Running a salt cave without a medical license

Opening a salt cave as a health and fitness service greatly simplifies the process of starting this type of business.

In this case, as we already wrote above OKVED 93.04, related activities are selected for additional income generation (for example, the sale of goods such as salt lamps, essential oils, the provision of entertainment services - children's parties, etc.).

Points to know:

  • The equipment must be non-medical. This is an aerosol generator, aerosol generator, i.e. household blocks.
  • It is not medical services that should be sold, but health improvement, prevention, and immunity strengthening services.

Equipment for salt caves and rooms

The main equipment that you will need to choose is a halogenerator. It is he who has a therapeutic and preventive effect, imitating the conditions of natural salt caves. Spray method - dry: the device continuously sprays rarefied microparticles of salt in the air. Also, the room must have ventilation, air conditioning and air filtration systems.

Manufacturers of halogenerators for salt rooms

Despite the large number of offers on the market, the vast majority of individual entrepreneurs and LLCs providing salt room services use halogenerators from several manufacturers.

The leader here is the device AGG-01 – halogenerator, distributed by N.P. Gorbenko - professor who patented this device. Today, Mr. Gorbenko is the scientific director of the St. Petersburg Institute of Preventive Medicine. The organization sells the Galoroom franchise, halogenerators AGG-03 and AGG-01 "Aerosol", aerogalite (finely dispersed salt for the device), salt lamps, blocks, tiles, and is also engaged in the construction of halochambers as part of the franchise.

The cost of halogenerators from the St. Petersburg Institute of Preventive Medicine:

AGG-03 - 240,000 rubles.

An example of a halogenerator for a salt room.

AGG-01 "Aerosol" - 150,000 rubles.

Simultaneously with the equipment, this company sells halochambers on a turnkey basis as part of a franchise.

The cost of halochambers from the St. Petersburg Institute of Preventive Medicine

Halochamber "Standard" 390000 r.

This price includes:

  • apparatus for conducting group aerosol therapy with sodium chloride "Halogenerator AGG-03".
  • 500 bottles of aerogalite (healing salt).
  • 4 lamps "Energy Crystal P.P. Gorbenko.
  • speaker system Dolby 5.1.
  • 5 seats "Comfort"
  • room design.

For 400,000 rubles, they will also deliver and install equipment to you, tell you how to use it (although you will have to pay extra for the arrival of employees if you plan to open in the regions).

Halogenerator "VITASOL" from Aeromed. It comes at a price of 240,000 rubles. The manufacturer also sells its franchise (salt caves "Vita Breeze"). The cost of the franchise is from 750,000 to 1,500,000 rubles. Along the way, they offer salt tiles, lamps, halocabins, halocapsules, halogenerators and other related products.

Salt generator (halogenerator) Ionna(55,200 rubles) from the Ukrainian manufacturer Solvay.

Uses removable cartridges with sea salt from the Black Sea (Saki) or cartridges with salt from the Solotvino deposit (Ukraine).

What is aerohalite (aerosol) for halogenerators and what is its price

The healing and prophylactic effect does not come from visiting the salt room, but as a result of spraying aerohalite with a halogenerator. Aerogalit is a polyfractional highly dispersed preparation of sodium chloride. It is based on natural rock salt from the Solotvino, Artem, and Sol-Iletsk deposits. The size of the main fraction of the countable concentration of aerosol particles is 5 microns or less.

As a rule, manufacturers supply the drug in sealed glass vials of 10-15 ml, designed for one session of sodium chloride aerosol therapy.
The cost of one such bottle with finely dispersed salt is 15-30 rubles.

Halochamber design: which salt coating to choose

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation recommends using rock salt from the following deposits for the salt coating of the walls of the future health-improving premises:

  • Solotvinskoe
  • Sol-Iletskoe
  • Tyretskoe
  • Artemovskoe.

Those. salt from those deposits in which ordinary food is also produced. Such salt has a white or light gray color and does not contain any irritating impurities.

The walls of the salt rooms are covered with ordinary edible salt (GOST R 51574-2000). Himalayan, marine and other types are not suitable for halotherapy.

Sea or Himalayan salt (more beautiful and expensive) is in fact not approved by the method of halotherapy, has not passed clinical trials and its effect is completely unproven, and therefore not justified.

In the process of finishing the halochamber, salt coating and decorative salt tiles, as a rule, alternate. Salt is used stone ground of the highest grade.

Depending on the presence or absence of decor, salt coating will cost from 3,000 rubles to 8,000 rubles on average (floor - from 1,500 to 3,000 rubles).

For wall cladding, salt blocks or bricks can be used, which are obtained in the process of wet pressing from rock salt of the Iletsk deposit (also Tyretsky or Artemovsky deposits), with a sodium chloride content of at least 98% GOST R 51574-2000 - this is ordinary edible salt.

Salt brick cladding options:

The cost of facing with salt bricks will cost from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles.

Also often used in the design of salt rooms is facing with decorative salt tiles. The cost of 1 sq.m. will be about 20,000 rubles or a little less.

This is what salt tiles look like.

"Lump salt" is a more expensive version of the material for the repair of a salt cave (installation price - up to 30,00 rubles per 1 sq.m.).

And finally, one of the most expensive salt room decor options is Persian blue salt. Its price with laying can reach up to 100,000 rubles per 1 sq.m. area.

Construction of a salt cave on your own or with the involvement of a repair team

Method number 1.Cladding with salt tiles/blocks

Salt blocks are predominantly white or grayish in color, tiles are yellowish in color. They have an uneven surface, colored in mass by natural impurities.

The method can be used when there are smooth and stable walls in the room (1 cubic meter of salt slab finish weighs 1-1.5 tons), there is no shortage of square meters (since tiles of a certain thickness) and need to be done in 2-3 days. Approximate service life is 30 years.

The method of fixing tiles / blocks, by analogy with tiles, is sticking to the surface to be trimmed. "Liquid nails" glue is used, which is applied pointwise to the back side of the plates, after which the material is pressed against the base and held for several seconds. The material is cut with a grinder or a tile cutter.

In rooms made according to this method, halogenerators are often replaced with incandescent lamps, which, when heated, contribute to the release of salt vapor, although it is difficult to talk about a therapeutic effect in this case.

The cost of one salt block measuring 200x120x90 mm is 250 rubles.

What does a salt block look like?

Method number 2.Applying a salt coating using the "spray" method - salt plaster.

A fairly common way. If the walls have an uneven surface, then the method is suitable when a salt solution is sprayed onto the wall. Previously, whitewash / paint is removed from the walls, irregularities are sealed. The layer thickness must be at least 3 cm.

The room must be dry in order to maintain the adhesion of salt crystals to the surface. Along the walls, you first need to spread polyethylene to protect the floor.

How to cook salt brine

Pure warm water is poured into a plastic container, where salt is added (the consistency is wet, not dissolved). With a ladle for spraying ordinary plaster, salt brine is evenly thrown onto the wall and left to dry. Natural drying ensures the crystallization of salt dissolved in water. Service life - 2-3 years.

Method number 3. Combined. Salt plaster and facing with salt plates are used in separate areas. The most commonly used method of decorating the rooms of halochambers.

There are humidity restrictions for all rooms - the rooms must be dry, without water supply.

Adhesive for salt tiles and plaster

There are types of specialized glue for salt (salt blocks), the use of which simplifies the process of laying bricks. An example is a Russian-made two-component organic adhesive for laying salt bricks. The price for 1 kg is from 190 rubles.

An example of an adhesive for salt tiles and plaster

Application in pure form 3 kg of glue will allow laying 1.5 sq.m of area, adding sand to the mixture increases the area. at the rate For one package of glue 3 kg, you can add up to 6 kg of sand mixture.
Mode of application: dilute a 3 kg glue package with 1 liter of water, proceed to work.

Staff

To run a business, of course, you need staff. For salt rooms, there should be at least two employees, as there will be shift work given that optimal time work of the organization until 22.00. Administrators should be subject to such requirements as friendliness, customer focus, good appearance. The salary of one employee for the regions will be about 15,000 - 25,000 rubles, for the capital this amount will be higher.

Before starting work, employees should be trained to work with the equipment and the specifics of preventive measures.

Promotion channels

Almost every businessman who opens a salt cave creates his own group in social networks. In fact, this is fully justified, however, as elsewhere, SMM promotion has its own nuances. In order for the group to work to find clients, live communication, instant reaction and openness of the community administrator and advertising are necessary.

Since the territorial sign is of decisive importance for salt room clients, advertising in the networks Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, etc. should be broadcast to the appropriate audience. The potential target audience can be young mothers with children, pregnant women living near the salt cave.

When creating live communication in groups, you should meet the needs of potential customers.

What questions might be of interest to them?

  • contraindications (pregnancy, oncology);
  • consequences of visiting the halochamber (green snot in a child, etc.)

Business seasonality

This business has its own seasonality: the most visited months are from August to May. Therefore, it is advisable to carry out promotions and general marketing activities in spring and autumn - a period when people often get colds and are interested in preventive methods.

Placing an advertisement for a salt cave near a public transport stop.

Salt room clients

The main audience of salt rooms are pregnant women, young mothers with children. Elderly people are a little less interested in halotherapy.

Additional income

An increase in the flow of customers is possible when conducting a competent advertising campaign, concluding agreements with medical institutions. It is also possible to place either a solarium or a phyto-barrel in a separate office, which will lead to an increase in net profit.

  • Sale of related products

Sale of salt lamps, essential oils, air humidifiers, etc. is a good opportunity to increase the level of income from the halochamber. Therefore, as a rule, all salt caves offer such products to their customers.

The production and sale of oxygen cocktails on the apparatus is another source of income for halochambers.
  • Holding children's events

Since children will not simply sit for a long time, entrepreneurs sometimes hold organized events - watching cartoons in salt rooms, holding master classes, puppet theater performances in a salt cave, etc.

An example of a puppet theater in a salt cave for children with two amateur actors:

  • Yoga in a salt cave

Hosting sports activities for small groups can generate additional income for the business owner. Yoga in the salt room can be conducted by an invited specialist. In terms of cost, one lesson lasting 40 minutes costs 300-400 rubles, i.e. rubles 100 more expensive than yoga classes in traditional halls. The teacher takes his percentage, and the owner of the salt cave - his.

Yoga classes in a salt cave.
  • Salt cave massage

This additional service can attract new customers.

  • Kindergartens and clinics as an opportunity to increase income from the salt room

If you have few customers, then you can increase your income if you engage in active sales. And here it would be logical to establish links with kindergartens, developing centers for kids and local clinics.

Salt room franchises - how justified is their purchase

Today, halotherapy is very popular and is largely due to the actions of companies selling their franchises.

The brands VitaSol, Galomed, Dyshi, Salt+, Halofort and others are the most active in selling their products.

The average cost of buying a salt cave franchise is about 300,000 rubles, including equipment.

However, in some cases they require purchases of goods from them, the cost of which may be higher than the market. In addition, you will still need additional expenses for furniture and advertising.

Today, many sell ready-made premises with existing developments: a base of loyal customers, groups in social networks, signs, trained personnel, etc.

What you should pay attention to if you decide to buy a ready-made business:

  • Location

The profitability of the project may depend on whether the salt room is located on the first line or hidden in the back of the yard.

Location near fitness centers, kindergartens will be an advantage.

  • Business lifespan

If the project was only running for a few months before the owner decided to sell it, chances are good that you too could fail.

  • Availability of really working sales channels

If the previous owner had contracts with medical institutions and kindergartens and he is ready to transfer them to you, this is a good sign.

Mobile salt cave - halocabin

Manufacturers of halogen generators are now constantly expanding their product line and offering a novelty on the market - compact halogen generator cabins that can be easily transported from place to place. So, the Aeromed company offers its version of the halocabin. Website on the Internet http://www.aeromed.biz.

Such a cabin can be installed in spa and fitness centers, beauty salons, shopping centers - it can be placed on 2 sq.m. area. A small collapsible cabin (standard dimensions - 2x1.5x2 m.) thanks to the halogenerator working inside, recreates the microclimate of a salt cave. The microclimate parameters are set by the operator outside, who controls the consumption of salt spray.

The manufacturer offers cabins with and without salt coating inside the cabin. The cost of such equipment is about 800,000 rubles.

This is how the mobile halocabin looks outside and inside.

The mobile halocabin can accommodate 1-3 people at the same time.

This mini salt cave is easy to disassemble and assemble, easy to transport. Inside there is an air purification system, ventilation is possible.

Igor (Dimitrovgrad):

— There was an experience of opening a salt cave. In short, the game is not worth the candle. Within six months, the total income was 20,000-25,000 rubles per month in a good scenario. This is taking into account the fact that they worked with their wife themselves, they did not hire administrators, because they had nothing to pay with. They took the halogen generator from hand, they did the repairs themselves, since they saw no point in spending money on buying a franchise. The premises have been rented. My opinion is that the idea is hackneyed and has exhausted itself.

Have you had a positive or negative experience of opening a salt room? Share!

My name is Roman. I found your site on the Internet and decided to write. I make repairs at home with my own hands and strength, since my hands and head are friends with each other. I am a creative person and have an artistic education. I was interested in the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a salt room, but I did not find the principle of installing the salt itself. Nowhere do they talk about proper installation or spraying. Nowhere is the light transmission and the possibility of heating salt. If you have answers to my questions, I will be very grateful!

There are several ways to accomplish what you want to do. The choice depends on what the walls of the room are made of, where the salt room is planned and on the amount of free time.

The first way: wall cladding with salt blocks or plates

The first way is the easiest: to clad the walls with salt blocks or plates. They come in various thicknesses and colors: white, gray, golden yellow. The blocks (plates) in the mass are colored with natural impurities contained in salt, and the uneven, rough outer surface of the blocks creates the effect of the naturalness of the formed surface.

Salt room, in which the walls are lined with salt blocks

If the walls are smooth (for example, made of concrete blocks) and even, this method is optimal. Irregularities exceeding 3 mm per 1 m² must be eliminated with cement plaster. Salt plates and blocks are simply glued to the finished surface in the same way as it is done when tiling. You can use glue like "liquid nails" for this: it is applied pointwise to the back side of the plates, after which the facing material is pressed tightly against the base and held for several seconds. If necessary, you can cut plates or blocks of salt using an ordinary grinder. Work should be done with gloves: salt is an aggressive substance.

The advantage of this method is speed: a salt room can be created in just 2 to 3 days. The disadvantage is the need to use glue, the loss of part of the free space due to the thickness of the plates and a significant load on the base and walls. In addition, not every surface can be revetted.

The second method: applying salt to the surface of the walls using the "spray" method

This method requires a lot of time and effort. It consists in applying salt dissolved in water to the surface of the walls of the room using the "spray" method. This method is good for walls with an uneven surface, for example, made of rubble or unplastered bricks.

Salt room where the spray method is used

It is necessary to purchase enough salt from the Himalayan mountains or the Black Sea: it is considered the best for the salt room. The Himalayan is cleaner, but the Black Sea is more beneficial for health: it contains more natural sodium compounds with chlorine.

The room must be dry, otherwise there will be no adhesion of salt crystals to the surface of the walls. It is necessary to prepare salt brine in a plastic container: add such an amount of salt to clean warm water that it becomes wet, but does not dissolve completely. The floor in the room must be washed clean and spread along the walls with plastic wrap.

With a special scoop, which is used for spraying ordinary cement-sand plaster, it is necessary to collect a small amount of salt brine and throw it on the wall, creating a uniform thin layer on its surface. You can’t throw a lot of salt: a landslide will occur. The layer of salt on the wall should dry naturally; fan heaters should not be used. During natural drying, crystallization of the salt dissolved in water occurs. The sharp edges of the crystals interlock with the irregularities of the base and the salt layer will be fixed in this way.

After applying and drying the first layer, the operation can be repeated. To do this, you can use crumbled salt collected from a plastic film. With a special pump, the method can be improved.

The third way: create a salt room using burlap

To do this, the burlap must be kept for a long time in a dense saline solution. In 1 liter of water (at a temperature of 20 ° C) 350 g of salt can be dissolved. If the water is heated, a more saturated solution can be prepared.

When the burlap is saturated with salt, its panels should be fastened to the wall with dowels or nails from below. Then, above, the next row of panels is attached. In the process of drying (also in a natural way), a complex relief surface can be formed. After the panels are dry, you can apply an additional layer by spraying.

You can decorate the salt room with the help of large pieces of irregularly shaped salt and special lighting.

As for light conductivity: salt conducts light well, which is used to create salt lamps. Impurities and surface irregularities block and scatter the light, but what passes through the salt is enough to create decorative lighting. It is possible and even necessary to heat such salt: in this case, ions are released that have a beneficial effect on the respiratory system and human skin.

The salt room is a rather unusual design option for the room. And this is not only design, but also beneficial features salts to restore health. In addition to the unique design, which combines decoration in the form of a salt cave or a grotto, natural wood furniture will also find its place in the salt room.

This is something completely new in eco style - salt allows you to create truly unique decor elements that fit perfectly into a modern interior. The method of decorating walls with minerals can complement high-tech or become the basis of classics. Even inclusions of salt or processed crystals will diversify any style.

Using blocks or colorful salt slabs, you can create unusual design solutions in living spaces. At the same time, such an interior, in addition to aesthetic pleasure, has a beneficial effect on the human body.

What materials are used to create a "salt design"

To decorate the room, three methods of wall decoration can be applied:

  • application of salt crumbs by spraying. The easiest way, the disadvantage of such coverage is that it needs to be updated at least once every three years;
  • cladding of wall surfaces with salt slabs and blocks. This finish will last about ten years;
  • use of rock salt, halite. This coating can be considered eternal, it has almost zero wear. Moreover, if an ideal microclimate is created in the room, then natural growth of salt crystals occurs on the surface of the halite.

How and where to use the salt interior

Salt design is good to apply both throughout the room and in fragments. It could be a futuristic mosaic of colored salt slabs on the living room wall. Or the bedroom headboard panel, made from processed blocks of rock salt, creating the effect of shimmering mountain peaks. It is quite justified to equip a "salt cave" in combination with a sauna or a swimming pool. The combination of halite walls and seawater pool recreates the positive impact of the sea, while providing the right microclimate, you can get the effect of unique underground salt lakes.

Salt brick can be used both for decoration and for the construction of internal walls, as the material is resistant to external influences, damage, pollution and stress. In nature, there are no two identical salt blocks, because they are mined and processed manually. This variability allows you to create a unique pattern and design of walls, optical effects. The use of different colored types of salt provides an even richer picture.

The natural range of shades of the halite block or tile is universally combined with any color palette. Therefore, it will not be difficult to choose the appropriate furniture for the purpose of the room. Figures, panels, salt bas-reliefs and, of course, salt lamps are used to decorate the room. Fossil shells, trilobites, imitations of stalactites or stalagmites will also decorate the interior. That is, everything that brings the interior closer to a natural, natural style - an imitation of a cave or the colors of the ocean depths, seascapes, and so on.

Salt room lighting

One of the prerequisites for the original salt design is lighting. As a backlight, ordinary LED strips are used, which are placed, for example, behind transparent salt crystals or inside salt blocks. In combination with multi-colored or even black salt, you can create a unique decoration of the room. Salt finish is perfectly combined with various lighting scenarios. A special unique mode of smooth flickering looks spectacular, when salt crystals in the finish immerse the space in a magical glow.

Interior and health

Spending most of our lives in urban environments saturated with transport and businesses, we often do not have time to visit wellness treatments. Therefore, the salt room is not only a creative design, but also a concern for one's own health. Halochambers (salt rooms) have been known since the end of the 19th century; they are used to treat colds and skin diseases, and allergies. Their visit normalizes the functioning of the nervous system, improves brain activity. Spa in combination with the influence of the microclimate of the halochamber helps to correct weight.

In addition, to be in an atmosphere that mimics a salt cave - great way relaxation. Therefore, it is elegant and useful to have such a rest room in the office, since the level of humidity and temperature that is favorable for the human body helps to increase efficiency. The ionic composition of the air in the salt room has an excellent bactericidal effect, slowing down or completely stopping the process of bacteria reproduction. By inhaling particles of beneficial minerals, you prevent the development of a cold.

At the same time, the salt room is also suitable for improving the health of children, so that they are not bored, it can be equipped with a children's corner with a salt sandbox.

It is worth noting that even simple table salt may be contraindicated in certain diseases. Like a sauna, for example, a salt room is also not always useful. You need to remember this.

Salt cave facilities

In order for the design of the room to be not only beautiful, but useful and close in air composition to the natural atmosphere of the cave, you will need a halogenerator. This is a device for spraying a salt solution. With the help of it, salt microparticles are supplied into the air. The room in which the device for spraying salt compositions will be installed must have air ventilation and filtration. The halogenerator sprays a certain composition - aerohalite, which consists of highly dispersed sodium chloride. There are also aerosol formulations that include other trace elements: iodine, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium, iron, copper, etc.

Some secrets of creating a salt room

To create a "salt cave" you need to choose the right and pre-prepare the room. The room in which the halochamber will be equipped must be dry and have high-quality waterproofing. It is better not to use classical heating, preferring air heaters placed outside the room. electrical wiring should be hidden. The dimensions of the room must be chosen taking into account the fact that one person needs at least 2 sq.m., that is, the size of the room should be from 8 sq.m., the height of the walls should be from 2.4 m

For facing and building walls in the salt room, it is recommended to use raw materials from the Solotvinsky, Tyretsky deposits of the Russian Federation. The salt of these regions does not contain harmful inclusions and impurities. Himalayan salt or other rocks are best used as decorative details.

Leisure, health and business

If you want to organize a salt room, you can open a wellness salon, where everyone, for an appropriate fee, will receive a charge of health and good mood. Such activities do not require licensing, therefore, by expanding the list of services and recruiting staff, you will receive from the halochamber not only health and pleasure, but also profit.

Many people who have encountered a salt cave for the first time in their lives and were truly impressed by the properties of their microclimate dream of acquiring their own cave.

Equipping a salt cave is not a cheap pleasure, which is why many people think about how to make a salt cave with their own hands.

Room selection.

For a salt cave, a basement or first floor is suitable.

The room must be dry initially without water, electricity, and sewer communications. If they are, they will have to be dismantled.

The floor in the room is concrete.

The height of the room is in the range of 3 meters.

It all starts with the preparatory stage: dismantle all the trim, if any. It should turn out - a bare floor and the same walls. At the same time, lay the windows, and expand the doorway upwards by 15-20 cm. If the walls are cold, they must be insulated. Moreover, this must be done from the side of the facade.

The next step is the organization of ventilation. Never use metal pipes or corrugations for ventilation. Exhaust ventilation should be under the ceiling.

The material itself is also needed - salt, it is better to buy salt from the manufacturer - these are Artyomsol, Iletsksol, Bassol, Tyretsky Salt Mine - it doesn't matter.

There are several ways to accomplish what you want to do.

The first way: wall cladding with salt blocks or tiles. They come in different thicknesses and colors.

Salt blocks or tiles are simply glued to the wall.

The advantage of this method is speed: a salt cave can be created in 2-3 days, the disadvantage is the need to use glue, the loss of part of the free space due to the thickness of the tile.

The second way: applying salt to the walls - by the method of making a salt "fur coat".

The room must be dry, otherwise the salt crystals will not adhere to the wall surface. It is necessary to prepare salt in a plastic container: add such an amount of salt to clean warm water that it becomes sputum, but does not completely dissolve. The floor in the room must be washed clean and spread along the walls with plastic wrap.

With a special scoop, you need to collect a small amount of salt and throw it on the wall, creating an even layer on its surface.

Works are carried out at a temperature of 26-28 °C.

Naturally, just finishing the room with salt will not make it a salt cave. But in fact, the creation of a microclimate characteristic of salt caves and, as a result, the achievement of the desired result is ensured by another component: an aerosol generator and equipment that can take into account readings of humidity and air temperature, and so on.

How to choose such equipment and where can I buy and how to set it up?

Making a salt cave with your own hands is like assembling a plane without having any parts to assemble the plane.

Salt Cave Tatyana was built according to the technology of the Gorbenko Institute of St. Petersburg and the equipment is also from St. Petersburg of the same institute.

Colds and bronchitis will pass much faster if salt inhalations are carried out as an additional therapy. Microparticles of sodium chloride disinfect, relieve inflammation, sore throat. In addition, sea salt contains trace elements that help the body cope with the disease.

There are various ways to ensure the introduction of nutrients into the body. Depending on the nature of the disease and convenience, choose the appropriate method:

  1. Steam inhalation is the easiest procedure to perform. It is necessary to breathe over a special device or a saucepan with a hot solution, covered with a towel, for 5-10 minutes. As a result, mucous membranes are moistened, sputum is thinned and excreted, cough is softened.
  2. Dry inhalations with sea salt, including incandescence. They represent the enrichment of the inhaled air with crushed particles of the mineral. The duration of inhalation is from several breaths to 2 hours. This procedure is an alternative to visiting salt caves.

  3. baths. At the same time, the child simultaneously benefits from inhalation and water procedures. This method of treatment is recommended in order to speed up the healing process. But it is permissible to take a bath, if only a cold begins and in the absence of a temperature. It is necessary to dilute in 1 liter of hot liquid 4 tbsp. l. salt and pour the solution into the bath every 3-5 minutes.
  4. Using a nebulizer. The device creates microparticles that penetrate into the lower respiratory tract. Therefore, it is recommended to use it for tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia.

It is necessary to do inhalation 1-2 times a day. As a result, the regeneration of the mucosa is accelerated, swelling is reduced, immunity is increased.

During inhalation, monitor the patient's respiratory rate. If there is shortness of breath, a sharp cough, the procedure must be interrupted.

Recipes

Inhalations are performed by the dry method and using a saline solution. In the presence of a temperature of more than 37.4 C, it is more correct to give preference to the first type of procedure. In the second case, the patient's condition can be aggravated.

Solutions

The medicine for inhalation therapy is easy to prepare at home on your own. Table salt will also work, but use sea salt if possible. Your doctor may recommend any of the following prescriptions:

  • Classic inhalation. It is prepared as follows: in 1 liter of water dissolve 3 tbsp. l. salt, and simmer over low heat for 7 minutes, then cool slightly.
  • In a liter of boiling water, add 1 tbsp. l. salt, 1 tbsp. l. soda, stir until completely dissolved and allow to cool slightly. Such a solution helps to cope with bouts of dry cough, facilitates coughing, and has an antibacterial effect.
  • Essential oils improve tissue nutrition, thin sputum, stimulate the activity of ciliated epithelium, restore mucous membranes. Pour the hot saline solution into a saucepan, cover with a towel, add the pre-measured 2 caps. oils (child 1-0.5 cap.). For children under 6 years old, lavender and chamomile are allowed. Older children can take tea tree, eucalyptus, fir, pine, sage, rosemary, lemon, frankincense. Please note that if you do not have a steam inhaler, you must keep your eyes closed during the procedure. The duration of the procedure is up to 5 minutes.
  • for the nebulizer. The device cannot be filled with self-prepared salt medicines. Large particles contained in them can cause damage to the device. The drug purchased at the pharmacy must be diluted 1: 1 with saline so that the concentration of sodium chloride is not more than 2%.

In order not to injure or burn the mucous membrane, it is necessary to regulate the steam temperature (up to 50 C) during the procedure, changing the distance to the water container.

If there is a sore throat, you need to inhale the steam through your mouth and exhale through your nose. With a runny nose, sinusitis, do the opposite - inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth.

Dry inhalations

In some cases, it is more convenient to breathe finely ground salt at home. The procedure takes a minute, but you need to carry it out up to 5 times a day. It is carried out according to the following scheme:

  1. Cut off the bottom of a flat 1.5-liter plastic bottle and put it on a coffee grinder like a lid.
  2. Fall asleep through the neck 2 tbsp. l. salt and turn on the appliance.
  3. You will see how the "smoke" will begin to swirl inside and come out. It must be inhaled 4-6 times.

Full course - 2 weeks. But you will notice an improvement in the first days. And with the onset of the disease, 2-3 sessions are enough. A salt cave has a similar effect.

Other methods:

  • If there is no coffee grinder, you need to grind the extra-fine grinding raw materials in a mortar, heat it in a frying pan, and stir in the salt. The procedure helps well with dry cough, bronchitis that begins. The main thing is not to be lazy to carry it out after the improvement in the patient's condition has appeared.
  • Medicinal herbs can enhance the healing effect of salt inhalations. To do this, mix 3 tbsp. l. dried chopped chamomile (can be replaced with sage, calendula), heat 1 kg of salt in a pan to 60 C. Remove from heat and breathe in steam under a towel for about 10 minutes.

  • If desired, it is possible to purify and enrich the air in the room with potassium and sodium ions. Place a thick cast-iron skillet over low heat and add a few cups of salt. It is periodically stirred, sprinkling with water for an hour and a half.

After the procedures, it is advisable not to eat or drink for about 90 minutes.

Salt inhalation is considered a fairly safe method of treatment. But, as in other cases, there are contraindications. Therefore, before using them, consult your doctor.
